May 30th is Genetic Identity day. For donor-conceived people who are still searching, it is always Genetic Identity day. We at Stiching Donorkind work hard to be heard. As for example in February of this year. Then the ESHRE – European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology ‘Moving on from individual connections to networks: new challenges in donor conception’ congress was held. All stakeholders related to donor conception were present.
Maaike Janssen of Stichting Donorkind was invited to speak about what it is like to have 72 halfsibling and her view on conceiving children with anonymous donor material.
